CRBing since 2014, finally popped a first gen Leopon on 6-6-24!
Managed to pop the site's first ever Jaglion on 6-29-24!
(Singularity, my beloved)

Main CRB Den
Side CRB Den

2025 Stuff
Look below for guide/full data! I'm HOPING this is the year I finally breed a first gen Tigon.

Specific Special Mutation Totals
These are for 2025! Past years' results are logged in my main's den. (I may have missed a lethal or two from my side - oops)

Dwarfism; 0
Eyeless; 1* (No items - HUH?)
First Gens; 4* (Lion Meat | CRB | CRB | CRB)
Lethals; 3?
Double Uterus; 0

Mutations I have NOT bred yet;
- First Gen Gon
- Siren Lethal

Reminder: All of the above are RANDOM mutations, so all can be achieved through natural breeding/CRBs/Lion Meat/GMO Cows! If it is not applicable with a mutie on demand (not counting; dorsal fur + its guarantee), it's a random mutation and you can achieve it with the above items/methods! :3

(I'm not counting CRBs found in explore as I usually count ahead of time and it would throw off my patterning! I have a system. A very weird system, but a system!)

Overall CRB Data

- I am starting my count for 2025 at 4420. This system isn't fabulous but it's the only way I can keep up with it.

Count started with; Bark 4420
Number of CRBs used since start count; 201
Total number of mutations; 30
Total number of cubs; 341
*% of CRB success; 8.79%

Specific mutations; # of total muties
Achromias: 6
AMP: 12
Blind: 1
Bobbies: 5
Clawless: 1
Dwarfism: 0
First Gens: 0
Foldies: 3
Lethals: 1 (Two Heads)
Melanisms: 1
OG Tongue: 0
Polycaudals: 0
Tailless: 0
Toothless: 0

Specific AMPs; #
Double Uterus:
Mane Feathery:
Mane Fluffy:
Mane Frizzy:
Mane Fuzzy:
Mane Imperial:
Mane Noble Unless studding out, not possible.
Mane Ruffled:
Mane Scruffy:
Mane Shaggy:
Mane Silky:
Mane Succubus:
Mane Villous:
Mane Whiskered:
Overgrown Claws:
Overgrown Teeth:

* (I use a google spreadsheet to auto-calculate the % of muties born out of the total number of cubs. This will give a rough estimate on success rate on CRBs! As always, results will vary. :3)
* I also am not counting data from already-CRBeds I pick up on TC or through explore (or from my keepers' den). This will skew the data a bit but it's easier for me to keep up with this way. ;^;

Tips for Mass CRBing

First of all; Emotionally prepare for RNG's mischief. COMMIT to having fun! Stay positive! "It may take a while, but I WILL get what I want if I don't get up." It's true! You will! It took me a bit over 8 and a half years trying for a first gen, actively/consistently CRBing, to get my first gen. Was it worth it? ABSOLUTELY. I wanted the achievement, and I got it! It felt *awesome*. I was really proud of myself. Silly? Perhaps! But if your goal is to *achieve the thing,* even if it takes a while, you WILL achieve it. And who knows - RNG can be just as kind as it can be mean! I definitely don't mean 'don't have hope,' or to feel pessimistic about it, but if you don't *expect* anything great, the shock is awesome when you do get something great. Someone will get a first gen within their first 50 CRBs. Others (me!) will take many years and 10000+, and that's okay!

Secondly; If you're feeling overwhelmed/burned out, take a break! Whether it's not rolling for however long you need, or pausing CRBs to just mass breed VLFs, or maybe pick out an RMA/breeding project, take the break! There have been times where I occasionally felt "eesh, this batch stunk. Maybe I should give up." I'd vent about it for a bit then get right back to it, or choose a few weeks to just mass breed random chaseds to see what I got for fun. Taking a breather can really help, and give you the wind back in your sails.

Thirdly: Territory! I absolutely did not mass increase all my space overnight. I did save up for big bouts at once sometimes, but mostly it was a few here and a few there. If you're wanting to do big projects on the long-term basis, definitely upgrade! BUT if not, you'll get a first gen whether you have space for 5 CRBs at a time or 100!

Fourth: Cushion your pockets! If you have other stuff you like to keep GB around for (art, IBFs, heats, decors/bgs, whatever it may be!), try to set yourself a little 'cushion' budget that you do not go beneath. That being said, don't listen to the 'IBF the CRB' voice. Out of my way too many CRB IBFs, I've had... maybe five that were really good. Two were lethals, two were G2 dwarves (took 8 of those CRB years to get my first), and one was a really neat jellyfish polycaudal. Out of the huge number I've done, I'd definitely say... try to not IBF CRBs. If you do stacks of Lion Meat or GMOs on CRBs, then yes maybe.

Fifth: Don't forget to do dailies! Exploring for skulls to sell, RR (for decor to sell), WAS (decor to sell), trivia, etc. AMP checks get EXPENSIVE. I don't AMP check any males because even g2 maneless/OG teeth/OG claws don't really sell for much unless it's incredibly BO heavy, but that ends up less to do with the mutation and moreso the looks! But that's personal preference. Don't forget to use your daily GE energy, especially if there's a hype boost for Jaglions like Tigons had.

Sixth: Need NCLs? The 400 SB mask at the personality snake can give you CANDID personality. You get +3 energy back for every successful NCL claim. Catnip + Candid can keep you going for an incredible amount of time to get a ton of NCLs. At Dreamboat, you also chance CRBs already in heat and ready to go for your project needs!

Seventh: CRBs DO NOT STACK! If your lady has an active CRB effect, do not use another CRB on her! Once she's been bred and has her litter, you can use a CRB on her NEXT heat just fine! But while it's active, do not use another. :3 Additionally, piebalds and patches have their chance to roll before CRBs get their chance to. You CAN use any stud you want! However, if a piebald rolls on a single cub litter, you've wasted the cotton root bark. Not the worst thing, but some users try to avoid it for this reason! CRBs also roll BEFORE lion scrotums, so try to avoid using them on litters you plan to lion scrotum as well! (ie getting dwarves to pass, eyeless, etc)

Eighth: I'll say it again: HAVE FUN. If it gets tedious, take the break for however long you need to feel good about going at it again. I genuinely enjoy the "gacha surprise" of rolling over to a CRB batch. Is it usually just foldies/achromias/common mane muts? Yes! But has that made the shock of something better that much more incredible? Also yes!

YOU WILL PROBABLY SAVE MONEY if you just want to *buy* a rare mutation most of the time. You very well may save money outright buying a first gen vs what CRBs would take you. Is it possible to do it for much cheaper yourself? Absolutely! Guaranteed? Unfortunately not! Decide what is right for YOU for what you want. If you want to achieve it yourself, 100% full steam ahead! If you're wanting the (mutation here) just to have one, start saving bit by bit! You can still do mass breeding VLFs on the side while you save so you're not using funds on CRBs/Lion Meats/GMOs/etc in the meantime. You may get lucky anyways! Or just have the chance be taken until you've saved up enough for that shiny mutation you want.

Ninth: "But I have a piebald/patches king! Can I still do this?" YES. The reason a lot of CRB-heavy players don't particularly often use pies/patches is because pies/patches roll before any and every mutation breeding item and natural fertility. But this does not WIPE something. If a piebald/patch rolls, it rolls FIRST. It simply doesn't give the cub a chance to be a different mutation! So you have to weigh this question: Do you MIND potentially using a CRB for a single-cub pie/patch litter? If you don't, then keep on with your pie/patch main lion! If you DO mind, you can either stud out or wait until it's time to replace them. Don't forget - May's got groupies! You can find some mutated ones then, or pick up a MOD: Primal from January or TC/Branches.

Y'all too! Got a google doc set up to auto-calculate % of mutations from batch totals, so I'll be able to be relatively organized with this!

Alrighty! Tomorrow is the day I'll breed batch #1. I might IBF a couple to make space 'cause I got the darn 50 lioness quest, but data will be recorded accordingly.

She was # 4436 since last November 4th, but since I started the batch at 4420, technically the 16th of the batch!

DESERVED THAT LETHAL! I'm thinking about doing a mass round next...for this first project Im doing about 10 a day? I think when I do en masse I will just take regular degular ole ncls :D

1 poly 1 bob n 5 amps so far out of 40! Averaging about 10.4% mut rate with 67 cubs popped since the 5th from 40 lionesses. Doing 140 lionesses total for this first round, just staggering it. All black based, mostly chased because im a nerd who likes to see how the markings turn out when blended together. Buckley did drop two onyx rosettes! one of them is a non mut but def a keeper

xD I'll have stat counts for chased v. non chased afterward (including those pesky "technically" chased 1 hidden markers that are basically just ncls)...I want to see how many chased I actually ended up with. Should probably check and add up how much I spent on the project just for the lols

and thennnn ill be back for the next round after my bffs wedding, probably on the 19th? Things wil get srs

thanks to u both for infecting me with crb popping craze.. i already am learning so much about what the fuck NOT to do LOL like.... i made shit so much harder than it needed to be but its soooo addicting
