As promised at the end of March, we have made our donation to Tusk with the Big Give event, doubling our $10,000 (£7,500) donation to $20,000 (£15,000)! The Big Give event starts today, the 22nd April, and lasts until the 29th April 2025.



Thanks to the Big Give our donation has gone through, and immediately been doubled, enabling Tusk to get double the amount towards their efforts in conservation and supporting the wildlife and people of Africa.

Situation
Africa is home to 25% of all global biodiversity including some of the planet's most iconic species such as elephant, lion, rhino and turtle. But these populations are under threat. Since 1970 wildlife populations in Africa have declined by 76% due to our increasing human footprint, conflict with wildlife, poaching and habitat loss. We need to drive greater investment to conservation initiatives across Africa to reverse this trend and safeguard wildlife and wild spaces for future generations.

Solution
Tusk champions community-driven conservation and a partnership model. We work with the best local organisations, providing funding and building capacity to help accelerate their growth from innovative ideas to scalable solutions to ensure maximum impact. We invest in a broad range of partners and empower local African leaders to achieve a shared vision of an Africa in which biodiversity flourishes and people thrive.
